Raising Dairy Goats is a great book for first time goat owners. It explains how to take care of goats...yes, there is information about milking goats too, but the general goat information is very helpful.
How to Raise Goats is another book that we have on-hand. It is useful for general goat information, but also if you are interested in showing.
Myotonic Goat Registry (MGR)
We are currently in the process of registering our whole herd with the MGR. We have previously registered our goats with the International Fainting Goat Association (IFGA), but have decided to steer away from their political problems. We are now using the Myotonic Goat Registry in order to help keep accurate breeding records.
Miniature Silky Fainting Goat Association (MSFGA)
After we are registered with the MGR, we will also be registering all of our silky fainting goats with the Miniature Silky Fainting Goat Association.
Sandy Ridge Silkies in North Carolina

A couple of Sandy Ridge Silky bucks.
John and Jan Sullivan of Sandy Ridge Silkies are great people to work with. They raise fainting goats and now live in North Carolina. We have known them for several years; when they previously lived in Wisconsin. Our first fainting goat buck, Paco, was from their herd (as well as his sister, Magnolia). And now we have another one of their previous bucklings, Landon (Paco's grandson).
