Kahlua
Kahlua (Kua or Klu for short)
DOB: 07/03/2009
Medium Golden Female w/white mark on chest and paw
OFA Hips & Elbows Good
AKC Registered Name: Sutcliffe's Sparkling Red Princess
Weighs ~55 lbs.
Kahlua is our most recent golden, even though she just turned two years old! She recently had her first litter of golden retriever puppies--13 total; that's a lot for a first time mom to keep up with. She weighs about 55 pounds and has turned out to be a great mom! We purchased Kua as an 8-week-old puppy from the Gorenz family in Maple Park, Illinois. The 2 1/2 hour drive was definitely worth it! She has been one of our calmest puppies that we have ever had and she gets along with just about any dog that she meets. Kahlua has also been shown at our local fair in obedience last year as a 1-year-old. Klu is always smiling and ready to greet everyone--what a great golden retriever attitude! But, she is still a great watchdog too. She will warn us by barking a few times whenever anyone comes up the driveway. Of course, she isn't very intimidating and her charade doesn't fool anyone, but she still tries!
